LOVE

‘Love’ explores the decay of traditional Chinese characters. With the introduction of simplified Chinese the character ‘Love’ was simplified from 愛 to 爱 but in the process it lost the Chinese character for heart 心. By removing the heart of ‘love’ the change sparked much criticism from many who believe its’ removal was an attack on Confucianism; “how can we love without heart?”
